ChildWatch Counselor

The Greater Waco YMCA is seeking an energetic, responsible, team- oriented individual to provide a fun and safe atmosphere in our Child Watch area for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.

We are offering a $260 bonus for new employees!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Nurtures children through purposeful activities dedicated to building relationships with each child.
• Supervise children in the Child Watch classroom, game room and all activities appropriately.
• Follows all procedures and standards for maintaining a safe environment.
• Makes ongoing observations of the children and has the ability to maneuver from one location to another quickly and easily
• Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents
• Maintains program site and equipment in an orderly manner
• Maintains required program records
• Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities

Qualifications:

• Applicant must be at least 16 years of age.
• Must be certified in CPR and First Aid within first 30 days of employment
• Individual must be able to pass reference check, pre-employment drug screen, sex-offender check, and criminal history check

Pay Rate: $13.00/hour
