Creative Designer

Base Pay
This role has a minimum base pay starting at $15.24 per hour, with the potential for higher starting pay based on experience.

Purpose:
As a Creative Designer, you will provide comprehensive design consultations from start to finish, creating strong relationships with our customers. Your role involves understanding customer project needs, advising them on design concepts, and ensuring their vision aligns with their personal style and budget.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• At least one (1) year of interior design experience or prior retail/sales experience.
• A degree in Design is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is beneficial.
• Strong mathematical skills are required.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Essential Functions

• Welcome customers in a friendly manner and assist with their design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop customer relationships through networking and referrals.
• Provide expert advice on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects.
• Create and sell functional and visually appealing design solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate communication throughout all phases.
• Collaborate with store leadership and employees to oversee projects from inquiry to installation while achieving sales goals.
• Support and promote company initiatives and goals by modeling best practices.
• Stay informed about current and emerging design trends.
• Utilize design applications effectively, including Salesforce and proprietary scheduling tools.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Limited travel may be required by car.
• This position often involves working in a warehouse environment with moving vehicles, where the noise level can vary from moderate to noisy.

Physical/Sensory Requirements
This role involves medium work, requiring the ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds frequently, and to lift or move objects regularly. The position may require standing, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching as necessary.

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pickup Hours
Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
