Sage Data Managment Analyst

Job Summary:

The Sage 300 System Data Management Analyst, with a strong financial background, is responsible for configuring and optimizing the Sage 300 system to meet our financial needs. Additionally, the role involves harnessing advanced tools like Power BI and Excel to develop and maintain reporting solutions that enhance data analysis and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial System Configuration:
   1. Customize and configure the Sage 300 system to align with financial processes and reporting requirements.
   2. Maintain and update system settings, parameters, and configurations for financial data accuracy.
2. Financial Data Management:
   1. Manage and ensure the integrity of financial data within the Sage 300 system, including data imports, updates, and validation.
   2. Implement rigorous data quality controls to maintain the accuracy of financial data.
   3. Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to streamline financial data processes.
3. Advanced Reporting Development:
   1. Utilize advanced tools such as Power BI and Excel to design and create custom financial reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
   2. Gather financial reporting requirements from stakeholders and translate them into actionable solutions.
   3. Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
4. User Training and Support:
   1. Provide training and support to finance and accounting teams on Sage 300 system functionalities and advanced reporting tools.
   2. Offer prompt troubleshooting and resolution of financial system-related issues.
   3. Develop user-friendly documentation and training materials.
5. Financial Data Analysis:
   1. Analyze financial data within Sage 300 to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for financial optimization.
   2. Derive valuable insights from financial data analysis to support informed financial decisions.
6. System Upgrades and Maintenance:
   1. Stay updated on Sage 300 system upgrades, patches, and new releases, and assist in planning and executing these updates.
7. Documentation:
   1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of financial system configurations, processes, and reporting solutions.
   2. Ensure documentation is kept current and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, engineering or a related field.
2. Strong financial background with a deep understanding of financial processes and reporting.
3. Proven experience in configuring and managing Sage 300
4. Proficiency in advanced tools like Power BI and Office Connector for financial reporting and analysis.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
7. Detail-oriented with a commitment to financial data accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Sage 300 experience also experience with Office Connector
2. Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and financial data integration.
