Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location : Albuquerque, NM Agency : Cynet Health Pay : $3,044 per week Shift Information : Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration : 13 Weeks Start Date : 1 / 5 / 2026 About the Position Job Title : Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : PICU Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Varied Hours per Shift : 36.00 Experience : - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience required. - Two (2) years current experience in a 12-plus bed Pediatric Intensive Care unit required. License : - State Nursing License (Compact State acceptable). Certifications : - BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. - BLS and PALS must be completed through recognized certifying organizations. Must-Have : - Pediatric experience and travel pediatric experience required. - Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. - Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. Description : Floating between departments and / or local locations within 20 miles is required. Ratios of 1 : 1 to 1 : 3 for holding Pediatric or Specialty Acute Care status patients. Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient / family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient population / age-specific / procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. Preferred experience includes Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit experience. Epic EMR experience is preferred.
