[job_card.job_description]Work in a 24-bed Acute Stepdown Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a trauma level 2 facility Primary patient population includes dysrhythmias, cardiopulmonary issues, sepsis, high flow O2 needs, and behavioral patients needing IV drip medications Patient ratio is 1 : 3 or 1 : 4 depending on acuity Administers complex medication drips such as dopamine, levophed, cardizem, heparin, precedex, nitro, amiodarone, dobutamine, and nicardipine High patient throughput as expected in stepdown environments Uses Allscripts Sunrise EMR 12-hour night shifts with potential to work every other weekend Work closely with an on-unit educator for ongoing support Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-acuity setting Standard hospital dress code applies Active IL RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or progressive care experience Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Proficiency with Allscripts Sunrise EMR preferred High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
