Position : Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee

Department : Long Term Care

Location : DeMay Living Center or Clifton Springs Nursing Home

Hours Per Week : 40 hrs / week during training

Schedule : Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm during training

SUMMARY :

This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to begin a rewarding career in healthcare. As a Certified Nursing Assistant Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training and develop essential skills necessary to achieve your C.N.A certification. Candidates are required to complete the C.N.A Training Class and pass the state-mandated test to earn their certification. Upon successful completion of the program, you will start working as a nursing aide while awaiting your certification.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Demonstrate the skills needed to successfully pass the C.N.A certification and transition into the C.N.A role.
• Maintain good standing within the training program; failure to comply may result in termination.
• Read and execute residents' care plans and engage with nursing staff on any questions.
• Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, toileting, feeding, transferring, and ambulating.
• Encourage residents' independence and personal involvement according to their abilities.
• Observe and report changes in residents' physical conditions, behaviors, and safety hazards to nursing staff.
• Transport residents throughout the facility as required.
• Attend in-service training sessions to meet state-required hours.
• Perform any other assigned tasks as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Must be capable of medium work, involving 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently. Tasks will require frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

PAY RANGE : $15.97 - $15.97

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. Pay is determined by several factors, including experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
