Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner

The Division of Endocrinology at Albany Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with strong interest in diabetes care to join our outpatient team. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-4 : 30pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include : Evaluate and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and adrenal / pituitary conditions Order, interpret, and follow up on labs and imaging Develop and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with supervising endocrinologists Support patients with thyroid disease, osteoporosis and other common endocrine conditions Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle, and medication use Work closely with our physicians, nurses, and care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care Qualifications : Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Current NYS licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility) Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain certification within a specified timeframe if not already certified.
