    • Schedule Details : Full-time evening shifts with options for 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, and call responsibilities primarily at night and occasional weekends. Call hours may vary based on staffing needs, with a requirement for 30-minute response time.

    Major Responsibilities :

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient area for optimal patient care by practicing aseptic techniques during surgical preparations.
  • Perform a variety of procedures while maintaining knowledge of surgical operations.
  • Prepare the operating room by setting up necessary equipment and ensuring sterilization.
  • Function as a Second Assistant when needed.
  • Report any issues with equipment or supplies promptly.
  • Transport patients and required equipment safely.
  • Maintain supply carts and ensure all items are sterile and in good working condition.
  • Assist with patient positioning and transport, using proper lifting techniques.
  • Demonstrate knowledge relevant to the care of patients across all age groups.

    • Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association must be obtained within 6 months unless exempted.

    • Education Required :

  • Completion of an accredited or approved Surgical Technology program.

    • Experience Required :

  • No prior experience required.

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :

  • Understanding of aseptic techniques and surgical equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Commitment to annual education requirements for hospital-based certifications.

    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move equipment as needed.
  • Must perform tasks that include sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and biological hazards.
  • Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
