Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an R&D Tax Associate might include the following :

• Assisting in the execution of R&D tax credit engagements for clients in the manufacturing, technology, and bioscience industries.
• Assisting project leaders with interviews with technical and financial personnel to identify qualifying R&D activities and costs.
• Working with our offshore team for costing analysis and credit preparation.
• Reviewing credit calculations and analysis of the costing support.
• Review detailed documentation to support R&D tax credit claims, including contracts.
• Drafting technical narratives and reports summarizing research activities.
• Collaborating with senior team members to ensure compliance with IRS regulations and guidance.
• Researching changes in R&D tax legislation and industry trends.
• Open to incorporating AI into processes.

Compensation : $63,500-$90,000

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local / state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
