A new client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for a French-speaking Nanny to care for their lovely daughter aged 9 years. She is a bright and sociable child who plays piano and tennis, loves fashion and horse riding, and is currently learning French at school.

Mum and Dad are both busy (especially Dad who travels a lot) yet hands on with their daughter, so someone who is comfortable with both sole charge and shared care is essential. The family is looking for a true professional who will hit the ground running and know how to read a room on occasions. Flexibility and creativity are very important for the family; a musical background would be a bonus!

The household is somewhat formally run, but the family is warm, welcoming, and casual.

They will provide a visa for the successful candidate.

An up to date first aid certificate and police check are essential for this position.

Duties :

• Following the established routine, but flexible to the ever-changing schedule
• Keeping the child away from technology / screens as much as possible
• Helping the housekeeper with the child’s cooking and laundry
• School runs and liaising with the school when needed
• Homework
• Coordinating afterschool and weekend activities / clubs / playdates
• Managing the child’s wardrobe
• Keeping the child’s belongings and areas tidy and organised
• Some light PA duties during school hours, such as running errands, doing some personal shopping, booking activities, etc.

Salary : flexible for the right candidate

Days : Tuesday to Saturday

Driving : bonus but not essential

Travel : yes

Language : English and French essential

Other staff employed : housekeeper

Pets : three dogs (one Pomeranian, one Maltese, and one Australian Shepherd)
