Job Title :  Registered Nurse – Pediatric ICU Preceptor

Location :  New York, NY

Type :  Contract

Shift :  7 : 30 AM – 8 : 00 PM

Pay Range :  $2,538 – $2,760 per week (local rate)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a highly skilled  Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse  to serve as a  Nurse Preceptor . This role goes beyond standard bedside care—providing the opportunity to mentor and guide new nurses, foster clinical excellence, and uphold the highest standards of patient safety within the PICU.

Responsibilities

Precept and mentor up to two new RNs concurrently during their orientation period.

Educate and reinforce advanced pediatric critical care procedures and protocols.

Supervise nursing practices to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Deliver constructive feedback and support to promote clinical competency and confidence.

Collaborate with Nurse Educators and unit leadership to align training with hospital objectives.

Serve as a professional role model, promoting teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care.

Qualifications

Minimum  5 years of recent PICU experience  required.

Active New York State RN license  in good standing.

Prior experience in  nurse education, preceptorship, or clinical leadership  preferred.

Demonstrated expertise in pediatric critical care with strong decision-making and communication skills.
