Data Migration Specialist
Plan and execute lossless, auditable migrations for core account / ledger, payments, treasury, and loan datasets from legacy stores (VSAM / DB2) to cloud-scale platforms (Snowflake / Databricks / Azure SQL).
Key Responsibilities
- Design migration strategies (big-bang vs. phased / coexistence, CDC with MQ / Kafka / GoldenGate ).
- Build robust ETL / ELT pipelines (Informatica / Talend / SSIS, Spark / ADF) with data quality gates , reconciliation, and dual-write cutovers .
- Define control totals (record counts, check sums, financial balances) and automated ledger reconciliations ; produce audit packs .
- Implement PII / tokenization and field-level lineage ; maintain Reg-report traceability (OCC / FRB).
- Coordinate migration windows around batch cycles / close-of-business , enforce rollback
