Estimated Weekly Salary Weekly Salary Range : $2310 - $2370 per week (estimated) Job Details - Atlanta CVOR Surgical First Assistant Assignment Type : Travel healthcare assignment Location : Atlanta, GA 30309 (Midtown - Georgia healthcare jobs) Start Date : March 16, 2026 End Date : June 1, 2026 Duration : 11 weeks Shift : 3x12-Hour Days (06 : 30 - 19 : 00) Call : 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks (per department needs) Floating : Within facility / scope of practice and to Main OR as needed Patient Population : Adults, Geriatrics Qualifications - CVOR First Assistant Requirements Minimum 3 years of recent experience as a CVOR First Assistant (5 years preferred) Proven experience in Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic surgical procedures Active CSFA (Certified Surgical First Assistant), NBSTSA, or NCCSA certification required BLS certification required Active Georgia or Compact state surgical technologist license at time of application Experience with Epic charting system preferred Heart transplant surgical experience highly preferred Must complete privileging process prior to start (approx. 3 months) Two supervisory references highly preferred First-time travel healthcare professionals welcome Key Responsibilities - Surgical First Assistant (Travel OR Tech) Assist surgeons in a variety of cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures Maintain and prepare a sterile surgical environment in the CVOR Demonstrate proficiency in CABG, valve replacements, endovascular repairs, and transplant surgeries Float to Main OR and other surgical units within scope of practice as needed Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Ensure compliance with facility documentation and safety protocols Experience the excitement of Midtown Atlanta while making a difference in patient care.
