To help us continue to grow our business, we’re searching for an EHS Specialist who will closely collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside partners and vendors to ensure ongoing compliance. This person will work with site leaders and teams to ensure the site and systems are always in a high state of compliance and inspection readiness. This position is responsible for assisting the EHS Lead with tasks related to EHS hazards in the workplace, as well as administrative needs for recordkeeping, audits, permits, and procurement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provides EH&S New Hire Orientation training and on boarding for new hires. Responsible for coordinating routine trainings, tour, and associated activities for new employees at the site.
- Directly support all root cause investigations and follow corrective actions in compliance with site and company policies and procedures, in conjunctions with all state and federal regulations.
- Responsible for the daily management of Hazard Identifications in the Safety, Health, & Environmental system (Dakota) and monitors investigation status, corrective actions, and closure with site.
- Conducts risk and ergonomic assessments in support of the site.
- Conducts routine 'Safety Walkarounds' and provides feedback to building leadership to help ensure the buildings are free of emergency egress / equipment obstructions and are not in violation of OSHA and Corporate EHS Standards.
- Analyze data, produce relevant status of key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide input into local and corporate-wide EHS forums and meetings
- Track incidents and produce reports as requested or needed.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding and continued procurement activities with third party suppliers (e.g. PPE and First Aid suppliers).
- Coordinate and present training programs in general safety and facility training and / or specialty areas.
- Coordinate with the EHS Lead on facility deficiencies and EHS inspections.
- Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the coordinator and facilitator for EHS documentation, including creating process and procedure templates and ensuring their effectiveness.
- Maintain and update as needed JHAs and SOPs for all safe work practices and equipment.
- Maintain EHS filing and documentation system.
- Support ISO 14001 : 2015 certification activities.
- Provide advice, assistance, and management to ensure EHS protocols are effective as implemented.
- Serves as liaison for Monthly Safety Committee member.
- Participation in company's emergency response team.
- Manage on-site waste, facilitating disposal activities with contractor and site team as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
In depth knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping requirements.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people to motivate and persuade such that EHS culture continually improves.Demonstrated experience crafting and writing EHS process and procedural documents.In depth knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel and / or Power BI for EHS data analytics purposes.Knowledge of ISO 45001 : 2018 and / or ISO 14001 : 2015 system for a single site.Understanding of basic manufacturing work practices and EHS mitigation measures.Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.Demonstrated experience establishing metrics, analyzing data and developing dashboards and reporting, including executive reporting.Ability to interact with operations, engineering, and senior management employees.Experience performing EHS training.Experience working with third party vendors and contractors and managing budgets and purchase orders.Ability to objectively audit EHS compliance in the workplace.Demonstrated ability to set and meet stretch targets.Spanish speaking preferred.Related post-education training and certifications such as, but not limited to, CIH, ASP, GSP, CSP, CMIOSH, CPEA, OHST, CHST, CHMM or similarBachelor of science degree in occupational safety and health, environmental management, or related field (preferred)Detailed project management skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritiesRCRA Certification (Experience with regulations pertaining to hazardous waste policies and practices needed to maintain compliance - preferred).HAZWOPER Certification (Experience with spill response).Membership in safety organizations (Certified Safety Professional or equivalent - preferred).At Kingspan, we believe our employees are our greatest resource.
