[job_card.job_description]Architect Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks using Terraform Bicep or ARM templates. Oversee the design of automated CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Establish standards for scripting automation and reusable infrastructure modules. Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams on IaC best practices. Champion Zero Trust Architecture principles across all infrastructure layers. Define and implement identity and access management strategies leveraging Azure AD RBAC and Conditional Access. Partner with Security and Compliance teams to design proactive monitoring incident response and audit frameworks. Drive cloud security posture management (CSPM) and infrastructure compliance automation. Lead the design and migration of on-premise workloads to Azure. Architect hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN ExpressRoute private endpoints) ensuring resilience and performance. Provide oversight of virtualization technologies (VMware Hyper-V) and their integration into the hybrid model. Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership on cloud adoption architecture decisions and infrastructure investments. Collaborate with software network and security architects to ensure cohesive enterprise design. Conduct architecture reviews create documentation and promote architectural standards across teams. This position is Hybrid at our Tempe location. Salary Range : $140k-$150k DOE 10 years in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering with 5 years in architectural or leadership roles. Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure architecture and services. Proven experience designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code. Strong understanding of Azure governance identity management and security frameworks. Expertise in automation orchestration and CI / CD for infrastructure. Preferred : Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) or equivalent certification. VMware or other virtualization certifications (VCP VCTA). Familiarity with SIEM and cloud monitoring tools (Sentinel Splunk Darktrace). Experience designing hybrid cloud environments with clear security budgetary and compliance boundaries. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into technical architecture. Excellent leadership communication and stakeholder management skills. Skilled at mentoring engineering teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration. Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset. We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to define design and lead the transformation of our enterprise infrastructure into a modern cloud-centric ecosystem. This position will assist the organization migrate from a hybrid azure AD environment where much of the data and infrastructure is on prem into a cloud based environment. This role focuses on architecting secure scalable and automated cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure while providing technical leadership and governance across infrastructure identity and automation domains.
The ideal candidate is a strategic technologist with deep hands-on experience in Azure architecture Infrastructure-as-Code and enterprise cloud governance capable of bridging business goals with technical implementation. The ideal candidate should also have experience with and a deep understanding of migrating from on prem / hybrid environments into the Azure cloud.
Cloud Architecture & Strategy
- Develop and own the enterprise cloud architecture roadmap aligning with business objectives and IT strategy.
- Design secure high-availability Azure environments including Landing Zones networking and identity integration.
- Define and enforce governance frameworks cost optimization strategies and compliance controls.
- Evaluate emerging Azure capabilities and recommend adoption paths to leadership.
