Responsibilities : The Clinical Reimbursement Manager POD Leader is responsible for overseeing clinical reimbursement for nursing centers in an assigned geography and serves as the Clinical Reimbursement Manager in an assigned nursing center. This individual manages the Medicare / Medicaid reimbursement process through evaluating, enhancing, and training nursing center staff to increase their knowledge and skills required to optimize revenue under each program. Participates in the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of reimbursement priorities in the nursing center and reviews outcomes. Evaluates the Medicare and Medicaid processes monthly to assure proper utilization of services to maximize reimbursement. Monitors the nursing center by conducting periodic audits and takes appropriate action to assure compliance with established standards. Advises and assists the Clinical Reimbursement Coordinators to assure compliance to HCFA and State reimbursement regulations and nursing center policies and procedures. Attends each nursing centers' Medicare meetings to review coverage and documentation issues and requirements at each center. Reports any issues to the Administrator, Director of Nursing and Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator, as well as appropriate regional staff. Qualifications : Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing with a license as a Registered Nurse or equivalent professional license (Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Licensed Social Worker, or Master of Social Work). BS or a BA degree is required.

Must have at least two years' experience in long-term care preferably in a reimbursement related position. Medicare and Medicaid experience and proficiency in Medicare and Medicaid regulations including case mix reimbursement and RUG III knowledge is required. Must be able to travel, exercise a flexible schedule and work independently. Benefits : Variable compensation plans
