Job Summary :

iCare Elder Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to join our team in providing individualized care and support to elderly individuals in Scranton Pennsylvania. This is a Full Time - hourly job with a compensation of $13 to $19 per hour. As an individual contributor the Direct Care Worker will play a crucial role in promoting the well-being and independence of our clients.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide direct assistance and support to clients with daily activities such as bathing dressing and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding according to dietary and nutritional needs
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry cleaning and organizing
  • Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients
  • Monitor and report changes in clients health and well-being to a supervisor
  • Follow care plans and update them as needed
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care

    • Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a home care setting is preferred
  • Must have a current CPR / First Aid certification
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting bending and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Compassionate and patient attitude towards elderly individuals
  • Basic knowledge of personal care and hygiene practices
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
