About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse Profession : RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty : Cath Lab Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 10H Days 4x10 Days with call required Hours per Shift : 10 hours Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience License : Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS Must-Have : Cath experience is a must; IR experience or willingness to learn preferred. Description : Hiring process includes a profile review and an interview with the unit manager. Clinicians must be located within a 60-mile radius. Week of orientation requires clinicians to be present in-state, even if some modules are remote. The unit has 2 suites / labs with an average of 4 cases per day, including a combination of cath and IR procedures. Job duties include circulating and monitoring cases, as well as pre- and post-procedure patient calls. Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, MacLab, and Siemens is required. Cardiologists are available in-house during the day and on call overnight. The manager and charge nurse coordinate unit operations. Registered Nurses work four 10-hour shifts per week. Weeknight call is approximately 10 times a month. Weekend call occurs about every third weekend, including holiday call, which is shared among staff. Response time for call is 30 minutes. Floating to other facilities is not required. Scrub color and dress code are provided. Unit-specific orientation will be conducted over several days during the week following general orientation. Cancellation policy allows for the hospital to cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment. Experience with Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient is preferred.
