Responsible for the development and integration of new or existing applications into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes.

Provides technical or functional guidance to project or work teams as needed within a specific discipline.

Collaborates on an ongoing basis with the Business Systems Analyst. Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, and / or enhances existing or new systems / web pages that are reliable and efficient. Responsible for the writing and updating full-stack applications on existing hardware and business processes.

Performs Power BI dashboard development, SQL data structuring, API integrations, workflow automation, and cloud development.

Experience with Agile methodology, software lifecycle, and scrum ceremonies.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required. Certifications in AWS, Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce, IT Project Management (PMP, Agile, SAFe) preferred or DevOps methodologies preferred.

Relevant Experience : + years of experience leading enterprise-level IT infrastructure, software development, and data architecture.

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to support the design, development, and delivery of complex software solutions for NextEra Energy.

The engineer will join an existing team and contribute across the full software development lifecycle, working primarily within a modern web application stack (for example, a Python-based backend with a Vue frontend) deployed on cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS).

This role requires strong technical depth, the ability to ramp up quickly on large and evolving codebases, and comfort working through ambiguous or evolving requirements in close collaboration with internal teams as well as customers.

The engineer will be expected to independently own significant technical work, contribute to system and component-level design, write well-tested and maintainable code, and participate fully in agile ceremonies.

Experience with cloud environments, databases, and supporting production workloads is valuable, as is the ability to communicate clearly, surface risks early, and help guide technical decisions during delivery.
