We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a strong background in construction to join our growing team. This role will involve working on exciting, large-scale construction projects, ensuring the safe and efficient implementation of electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and oversee the installation of electrical systems for construction projects, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to ensure electrical designs align with project requirements and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure electrical systems are installed according to design and comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, electrical schematics, and documentation for construction projects.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors involved in electrical system installation.
- Perform electrical load calculations, system layouts, and design reviews.
- Identify potential issues and provide engineering solutions to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as electrical safety standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA).
- Participate in project meetings to report on the status of electrical systems and resolve any challenges that arise during the construction process.
- Evaluate and recommend energy-efficient electrical solutions to optimize performance and sustainability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.3+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software for creating electrical drawings and models.Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE).Experience in managing electrical contractors and working with multidisciplinary teams on construction sites.Ability to perform electrical load calculations and system design for large-scale commercial, industrial, or residential projects.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license or working toward licensure.Experience with renewable energy systems (solar, wind) or energy-efficient building technologies.Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEED certification processes.Knowledge of electrical project management software.What We Offer
