Operations Coordinator II

The Operations Coordinator II is responsible for overseeing activities that support and maintain efficient HR, operational, and strategic initiatives and activities within the department. Qualifications include an associate's degree or equivalent work experience, and a bachelor's degree is preferred. Five years of related experience is required or three years with a bachelor's degree or advanced degree. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial reporting tools and systems are preferred. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential, as is demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities include managing and processing HR transactions for faculty and staff, overseeing FMLA submissions and calculations, coordinating visa processing for international faculty and staff, and tracking physician contracts and maintaining records of reimbursable expenses. Operational support includes training staff in procurement and HR systems, overseeing and approving access and service requests, tracking and managing equipment and IT asset distribution, and preparing and submitting Purchase Orders and check requests. Strategic and liaison functions involve serving as a liaison between new faculty and the Dean's Office, collaborating with department leadership to support various initiatives, and ensuring smooth onboarding and integration of new faculty and staff.

Compensation Statement. Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64526 - $85000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
