At The Knot Worldwide, we champion celebration - and that starts with celebrating our people. Our employees are passionate dreamers, thoughtful doers, and lifelong learners who power meaningful moments for millions around the world. We're united by authentic connection, shared purpose, and a deep commitment to the global community we serve. Here, flexibility and belonging go hand in hand with high performance. Driven by our core values, we believe the best ideas come from empowered teams : those who consistently collaborate with intention to design solutions, spark ideas, and drive impact. Our people are at the heart of our success.

ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM :

The highly organized and goal-oriented Principal Technical Program Manager (you!) will help drive collaboration for cross-functional project teams and manage detailed plans to ensure efficient and effective delivery. You will work closely alongside engineering managers, developers, product managers, designers, and other key business partners.

In this role, you will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Program Management, which is a function within our engineering organization. This is a highly valued team of professionals that supports the most critical cross-functional projects for the department. The team has strong interpersonal connections, providing individuals with an internal network for knowledge sharing within the job family.

  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, design, and other teams to align on goals, timelines, and project dependencies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure teams are informed and aligned on progress and potential roadblocks.

  • Technical Design & Dependency Mapping : Ability to lead technical design reviews and proactively identify integration risks, data flow bottlenecks, or infrastructure dependencies across complex systems.
  • Systems Observability & Triage : Hands-on experience using monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, New Relic) to assist teams in triaging production issues and facilitating high-quality technical post-mortems.
  • API & Data Literacy : Comfortable exploring API documentation (Swagger / Postman) and using basic SQL to extract data for project validation, ensuring technical requirements align with actual system behavior.
  • Jira Skills : Operational Efficiency & Reporting

  • Workflow Configuration & Automation : Practical experience configuring Jira project workflows, custom fields, and basic automation rules to eliminate manual status chasing and improve team velocity.
  • Custom Reporting & JQL : Proficiency in JQL (Jira Query Language) to build customized filters and dashboards that provide stakeholders with real-time visibility into sprint health, blockers, and delivery timelines.
  • Dependency Visualization : Skilled in using Jira (including tools like Advanced Roadmaps or structure plugins) to map cross-team links, visualize the critical path, and manage capacity planning across multiple workstreams.
  • SUCCESSFUL PRINCIPAL TPM CANDIDATES HAVE :

8+ years of experience in program management, with at least 3 years leading technical programs in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.Proven experience leading large, cross-functional technical programs and projects involving multiple teams (engineering, product, operations, etc.).
