Nuclear Med Tech Pet-CT - 20 Hours

Under the direction of Nuclear Medicine Physician prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies. Utilizing efficient and safe processes performs related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care. Train, orient Nuclear Medicine Technologists. In Kaiser Permanente locations where in-house dual mode Positron Emission Technology and Computerized Tomography (PET- / CT) is available, and the CT component is used for diagnostic purposes (in conjunction with the PET / CT exam and not to be used as stand-alone CT), one of the following certifications is also required :

• State of California Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine (RHN), AND A post primary CT certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-(CT)), OR Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board NMTCB(CT) NOTE : ARRT-(CT) OR NMTCB-(CT) certification within 6 months of the dual mode PET-JCT equipment becoming available for use. This position applies only to Santa Clara, Roseville, Walnut Creek, San Leandro and Oakland.
