Hematology / Oncology Physician

Sovah Health-Martinsville, a Lifepoint Health Hospital in Martinsville, Virginia (1hr North of Greensboro, NC) is growing with the addition of an employed, full-time BC / BE Hematologist / Oncologist to strengthen our established team. Those who are currently practicing or are currently in training can be considered.

Position Detail :

• Join employed Hem / Oncs and an NP, with Radiation / Oncology on-site
• Bi-weekly tumor board and clinical trial programs. Aria Oncology information system
• Averaging 25-30 per day, 100% remote telephone shared call coverage (low call volume), 95% outpatient clinic
• 10 infusion chairs, 2 quick chairs
• Inpatient treatment referred to large academic centers in the area
• Common Oncology scope breast, prostate, lung, colon, head / neck, with a large Hematology panel
• Staffed with navigators, pharmacist, pharm tech, lab tech with lab draws in office, phlebotomist, office manager, clinical director (shared with radiation oncology)
• Hospitalist group admits
• Most local cancer referrals come from GS, GI, Uro, Pulm, ENT and Neph. Good working relationship with tertiary centers in region
• ACOS-CoC accreddited
• Low turnover in the clinic with a true family atmosphere
