Project Manager

Position : Project Manager (Temporary)

Hours : 6 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm

Pay Rate : $49 / hr - $51 / hr DOE

Location : Vista, CA

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintain cooperative, diplomatic working relationships with co-workers, manager, and the public.
  • Work as part of the team and collaborate with co-workers and colleagues.
  • Responsible for reading, understanding, and following Quality Business Systems documentation for each function performed.
  • Responsible for working in compliance with Quality Systems Regulations (QSR), safety, and all other training.

Project Management

  • Responsible for guiding innovation initiatives (new product development, line extensions, package changes, etc.) from initial conception to launch.
  • Work across multiple departments acting as the hub of all functional teams including : Innovation, R&D, Marketing, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Quality, Documentation, Regulatory Assurance, and outside contract manufacturers.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, assembling individual project teams & utilizing formal project management methodologies including tracking software such as MS Project or similar in addition to MSTeams & OneNote.
  • Develop, manage, track project timelines, milestones, agenda, follow-up notes, risk profiles, and supply & assign cross-functional tasks.
  • Schedule and run weekly / monthly project meetings to communicate project status and milestones to key partners and ensure teams are accountable to complete tasks at hand.
  • Maintain relationships and act as the "activist" role in overcoming obstacles and keeping projects progressing through the Stage Gate process.
  • Ensure all projects and initiatives are handled through the project and documentation management system, QCBD.

    • Leadership Responsibilities :

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.
  • 3+ yrs of new product development and execution experience in CPG, cosmetic, medical device, food, beverage, or pharmaceutical required, FDA environment a definite plus.
  • Proficient in relevant project management software and / or Microsoft Project required.
