Responsibilities:
●Searching for grant opportunities and identifying ones that alight with the project● Reviewing grant requirements and deadlines
● Working with faculty member to draft materials in preparation for a full grant proposal(s)
● More specifically, the RA contribution to grant writing will likely be in the form of reviews of literature,
budget preparation, and formatting and compliance checking
● Each duty/responsibility helps fulfill the role’s core purpose which is securing external funding by
finding appropriate grants opportunities and contributing meaningfully to high-quality proposal
development.
Work Mode:
- Hybrid/Remote – Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in this role will also be expected to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary in order to best fulfill the responsibilities of their job descriptions.
Hourly Rate:
$31.37/hour. Minimum Qualifications: ● Must demonstrate strong research and writing skills in the English language
● Must demonstrate strong organizational skills
● Has in interest in grant writing
● Has an interest in fashion history studies and/or exhibition curation (preferred but not required)
● Active library card with the New York Public Library
● Coursework or research experience in fashion/dress history or material culture
