• Improve injection process cycle time, scrap rate, and overall equipment effectiveness through Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Research, evaluate, and justify purchase of equipment or upgrades to existing equipment.
• Launch and validate new injection molds using scientific molding techniques and tools.
• Design and implement layout for equipment, molds, and tooling storage using Auto Cad, Pro E, or Solid Works layout software.
• Develop and certify equipment processing, start-up, training, and process instructions.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs in conjunction with maintenance department.
• Implement Poka Yoke systems, Statistical Quality Control, and Design of Experiment techniques for root cause and defect analysis.
• Document and troubleshoot injection molding machine, auxiliary equipment, injection molds, robot, product, process, or quality system issues with scientific molding tools.
• Maintain and improve safety and quality through safety devices, guarding equipment, set-up instructions, and troubleshooting protocol.
• Produce new product samples for Sales and Marketing.
