Multi-Skilled Journalist

CBS Sacramento is seeking a full‑time multimedia journalist to support its Community Journalism initiative.

Responsibilities

Comfortably, confidently, and conversationally communicate with interviewees and viewers.

Create entertaining and engaging content that meets CBS Sacramento’s mission of getting answers for our audiences on all platforms.

Report scripted and unscripted news and feature stories in both live and recorded formats, guiding viewers through accountability and solutions‑oriented journalism during breaking news situations.

Qualifications

Prior on‑air reporting experience.

Strong writing skills and understanding of broadcast news and entertainment reporting techniques.

Multimedia journalist experience, including shooting, writing, and editing voices, videos, and packages.

Experience in live reporting.

College degree or equivalent work experience.

Compensation

Hiring Salary Range : $75,000.00 - $80,000.00.
