The George Washington University Hospital (GW Hospital) continues to be a leader in providing the highest level of quality and compassionate health-care for the D.C. Region. U.S. News & World Report has just released the 3-4 ratings and rankings, in which GW Hospital is recognized as a Best Regional Hospital . POSITION SUMMARY:

The Administrator Director of Surgical Services is an expert in managing patient care delivery in the Perioperative Services Division at GW Hospital. The Division includes Main OR, Ambulatory Surgery, Recovery, Pre and Post Testing, Endoscopy, Sterile Processing and Anesthesia. This position assesses, plans, and executes ongoing efforts to provide an optimal surgicial services patient care delivery systems using modern and effective business practices. This position creates and implements the strategic direction of the division to align with hospital goals. This leader assures the delivery of quality clinical services in accordance with established hospital and regulatory/accreditation agency. /7 accountability for the division is required.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree required, MBA or MHA preferred

years progressively responsible experience, with at least 5 in surgical services

Prefer experience in an academic teaching hospital

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Effective interpersonal skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
