Description : Position Summary
The Engineering Project Assistant provides basic project, administrative, and technical support to the Engineering Department. This role helps keep projects organized by managing communication, maintaining documentation, updating project notes, assisting with simple engineering tasks, and supporting the team with day-to-day needs. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone who is eager to learn and ready to begin their engineering career. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Communication Support
- Help monitor engineering emails and phone calls, routing information to the correct team members.
- Assist with communicating project updates to clients and internal departments.
- Help collect missing information from clients and track open items.
- Schedule meetings, project reviews, and team calls.
Documentation & Administrative Support
Keep engineering logs, project notes, and documents up to date.Organize project folders, CAD files, drawings, and reports.Assist with preparing simple reports, submittal packages, and project documents.Ensure all engineering files are properly stored and easy to locate.Support day-to-day administrative needs for the engineering team.Basic Engineering & Technical Assistance
(Training provided; tasks performed under close supervision)
Help review drawings, layouts, or files for completeness.Assist with simple engineering checks, data entry, and basic calculations as assigned.Support engineers in preparing or updating drawings and project materials.Assist with plan check responses by organizing documents and updating notes.Coordinate with engineering documentation, submittals, sales, and operations teams.Requirements :
Required Skills & Qualifications
0-2 years of administrative, office, or project support experience (experience is a plus but not required)Strong organization skills and attention to detail.Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Good verbal and written communication skills.Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office required; basic CAD familiarity is a plus but not required).Why Join Us?
