[job_card.job_description]Design and develop lighting, power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems under the guidance of a Principal or Senior Engineer. Perform advanced CAD / BIM / Revit drafting and assist with project engineering tasks to support electrical design deliverables. Collaborate closely with internal project teams, architects, and other disciplines to ensure accurate and coordinated designs. Participate in occasional client meetings or communications as directed by senior leadership. Conduct site visits and field investigations as required for design validation and project coordination (travel expenses reimbursed). Assist with project documentation, load calculations, and Title 24 compliance studies. Support the preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and as-built documentation. 5+ years of hands-on electrical design and drafting experience in the AEC industry. Proficiency in : Revit 2025, AutoCAD 2025, BIM360 SKM Power Tools (short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies) EnergyPro 9 / 10 (Title 24 compliance) Bluebeam and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong understanding of electrical systems design principles and related building codes Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients and team members. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Candidates will be disqualified if the following criteria are not met :
- Employment Type : No C2C (Corp-to-Corp) or C2H (Contract-to-Hire) arrangements. W2 contract only. No referral fees will be entertained.
- Work Authorization : Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Local in Calabasas, CA or 1 hour drive to Calabasas
- Experience in REVIT
- Not Oil and Gas
- CAD / BIM / Revit drafting experience
- 5+ years of hands-on electrical design and drafting experience in the AEC industry.
- Has experience in K-12, higher education, mixed-use developments, commercial buildings, and tenant improvement projects.

Our client, a well-established and forward-thinking electrical engineering firm, is seeking a talented Electrical Designer / Drafter to join their Calabasas team. This role is ideal for a self-driven, detail-oriented professional with hands-on experience in electrical design and drafting who enjoys working across diverse project types — including K-12, higher education, mixed-use developments, commercial buildings, and tenant improvement projects.
The Electrical Designer / Drafter will play a key role in the design and coordination of lighting, power, and low-voltage systems, working closely with senior engineers and project leaders from concept through completion.
