Were building a more open world. Join us. / ppThis iOS Engineer role sits within the Expedia Group Design System (EGDS) team, part of the Expedia Platform Engineering organization. Our team is responsible for maintaining and evolving the Expedia Group Design System, working closely with designers and engineering teams across the company to help deliver high-quality, accessible, and consistent UI patterns for our travelers and partners. / ppIn this role, you will : / pulliApply your technical iOS engineering knowledge and best practices to solve user experience problems and advocate for the value engineers add to the design lifecycle. / liliCollaborate with UX designers, engineers, and product managers across Expedia Group to identify and develop solutions for new and improved user experiences and interactions. / liliUse software design principles, data structures, and computer science fundamentals to write code that is clean, maintainable, and optimized. / liliBuild new technical expertise in a rapidly evolving environment and help mentor and guide other engineers on the team. / liliCoordinate stakeholder input and collaboration efforts when developing solutions and proactively provide clear updates on work status. / liliDevelop prototypes to influence product strategy, not just execution, and advise on technical possibilities and limitations. / li / ulpRequired Qualifications : / pulliBachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 5+ years of professional software development experience, OR a Masters degree with 3+ years of experience; OR Equivalent related professional experience. / liliStrong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS frameworks like SwiftUI or UIKit. / liliExperience maintaining multiple software projects in production environments, including bug fixing, troubleshooting, and monitoring. / liliExperience developing software in at least three different programming languages. / liliProficiency with version control systems, such as Git. / li / ulpPreferred Qualifications : / pulliDirect experience contributing to or using a design system. / liliA track record of successful collaboration with designers and engineers to create accessible and user-centric solutions. / liliKnowledge of iOS app design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, MVP) and the ability to articulate their trade-offs. / liliExperience implementing sophisticated UI interactions, animations, and transitions on iOS. / liliExperience writing unit tests, creating testable code, and debugging issues using monitoring tools. / liliA dedication to knowledge sharing and continuous personal skill development. / li / ulpThe total cash range for this position in Chicago is $128,000.00 to $179,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $205,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individuals knowledge, skills, and experience.
