Med / Surg RN Job Details

Position Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse – Float Pool

Job Type : Local Contract Nursing Job

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Med / Surg / Telemetry Float Pool

Location : Harrison Township, NJ 08062 (New Jersey nursing jobs)

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Hours per Week : 36

Shift Schedule : 12-hour shifts, Sunday through Saturday (weekend availability required)

Start Date : January 5, 2026

Hourly Pay Rate : $83.70

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2020 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Med / Surg or Telemetry RN in an acute care hospital

Active New Jersey (NJ) or compact state RN license

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Completion of Stroke CEUs and PCU or Critical Care nursing course

Ability to float within Med / Surg, Telemetry, and other specialty areas as needed

Must wear navy scrubs

Reliable attendance for orientation and all required classes (no rescheduling permitted)

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to observation and inpatient hold patients in the Emergency Department (ED) and inpatient units

Float between various hospital departments based on patient census and clinical needs

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes

Complete all required orientation modules and in-person training sessions as scheduled

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices in clinical care

Demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment
