Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on a night shift in an acute care setting in Ohio, requiring an active OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a Level 1 maternity unit within an acute care hospital
  • Cross-trained to labor, mother / baby, newborn nursery, and postpartum care
  • Handles approximately 30 deliveries per month
  • Unit features 4 labor and delivery rooms and 6 postpartum rooms
  • Night shifts; three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required
  • Uses CPSI and Centricity EMR systems
  • All staff must be cross-trained and able to provide care across labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery
  • Expected to adhere to AWHONN staffing guidelines
  • 24 hours of orientation provided before starting
  • Night shift assignment with a consistent schedule
  • Work every other weekend as part of the shift rotation

    • Requirements

  • Active OH or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 3 years OB nursing experience
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced Fetal Monitoring
  • Experience with CPSI and Centricity EMR systems preferred
