About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Neonatal MD in Maryland!

We are seeking a Neonatologist for a locum tenens assignment in Maryland starting Feb 1, 2026. This opportunity offers a 48-day contract with 24-hour in-house call shifts, including nursery coverage. The schedule requires more than five to eight shifts per month, with a mandatory day off between shifts.

  • Provider Type Needed : Neonatologist
  • Schedule : 24-hour in-house call (7 am to 7 am), more than 5-8 shifts per month, no consecutive shifts, must have a day off in between

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide comprehensive care for neonates in a nursery setting
  • Manage full-time 24-hour in-house call responsibilities
  • Respond to neonatal emergencies and perform resuscitation as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

    • Additional Information

  • Maryland medical license required
  • Board certification in Neonatology required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Experience in nursery settings required
