Patient Assistance Counselor

A company is looking for a Patient Assistance Counselor with local Wisconsin remote potential.

Key Responsibilities

Interview and verify insurance benefits for uninsured and underinsured patients

Review financial and medication assistance applications to determine eligibility and awards

Maintain knowledge of healthcare coverage opportunities and assist with outreach and enrollment

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

Minimum of two years' experience in a medical business office or healthcare setting

Preferred completion of courses in diagnosis, current procedural terminology (CPT), and medical terminology

No minimum education required beyond high school diploma or equivalent

No certifications or licenses required

Must not be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid
