Assistant Controller

We are looking for an Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller to support a great team in Oakland, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting leadership experience, have payroll oversight experience, and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities :

• Provide strategic oversight of Payroll and Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls.
• Guide and support payroll team members and AP staff, offering leadership without needing to process payroll directly.
• Manage organizational debt, including reporting, payment schedules, compliance, and long-term planning.
• Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Strengthen accounting processes, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency and transparency.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, audits, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Pay Details : $60.00 to $70.00 per hour
