Job Summary

Memorial Hermann Kingwood Convenient Care Center seeks a Lead Medical Technologist to join our team.

Position will help management ensure optimal quality, competency, and efficiency of team.

Position is responsible for daily supervision of assigned Laboratory operations including scheduling of staff and processes, ensuring quality, cost efficiencies and patient (customer) satisfaction.; performs certain management functions as directed by the Department Manager or Lab Director. Represents the Laboratory in the absence of the Manager; delivers certain, appropriate patient care according to the age of the patient / population served.

Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

Education :   Bachelor's degree in a Biological Science (Equivalency Required for Foreign Education)

Licenses / Certifications :

Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Technologist (AMT), Certified CLS (ASCP or ASCP-International) or Certified MLS (ASCP or ASCP-International) CM

Experience / Knowledge / Skills :

• Five (5) years of experience in the high complexity clinical laboratory in the assigned / specified area and demonstrated leadership skills
• Completed competency in assigned area within one (1) year of accepting this

position
