Maintenance Technician Kentwood MI

Salary Range : $48000 - $80000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Maintenance Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic issues.
  • Repair and replace defective parts components or systems to minimize downtime.
  • Install and commission new production equipment and systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities repairs and parts used.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations company policies and quality standards.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude including proficiency with 480V systems motors and controls.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals schematics and blueprints.
  • Adherence to safety protocols including Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

    • Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC programming and logic modification.
  • Proficiency in welding (e.g. MIG TIG) and metal fabrication.
  • Machining experience (lathe mill) for custom part creation or repair.
  • Prior experience as a CMMS super-user or administrator.
