Attorney

Description We are looking for a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our dedicated team in Prairie Village, Kansas. This permanent position offers the unique opportunity to focus on quality legal work without the pressure of billable hour requirements, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Responsibilities :

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case development and strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and precise correspondence with attention to detail.
• Represent clients by attending hearings, depositions, and court proceedings.
• Manage cases involving insurance coverage, including environmental, employment practices, directors and officers (D& O), specialty risk, excess, and reinsurance.
• Handle defense litigation matters such as premises liability, auto / trucking accidents, personal injury, and general negligence.
• Address contract disputes with effective legal strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive case preparation and execution.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members when needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and other legal stakeholders. Requirements - Must possess an active Kansas law license.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
• Strong proficiency in civil litigation processes, including drafting motions and briefing.
• Expertise in discovery and insurance law practices.
• Background in defense litigation and insurance defense litigation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to growth and development.
