Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 2 years of healthcare experience and active MA OT license for a home health float assignment serving diverse Boston neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home occupational therapy services to patients across multiple Boston-area neighborhoods, including Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Cambridge, Charlestown, and more
  • Home health setting covering a broad patient age range from pediatric to geriatric
  • Day shift, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Float position with travel required across the North Region service area
  • EPIC charting system is used
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate and deliver care
  • Strong customer service and communication skills needed for working with diverse populations
  • Must be able to prioritize workload and adapt to changing situations
  • Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions permitted
  • Public transportation and parking options available; parking not validated and may incur daily costs
  • Timekeeping managed through UKG / Kronos system
  • Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from central Boston to qualify for standard pay rates

    • Requirements

  • Current, active Massachusetts OT license required; no conditional licenses accepted
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an OT in acute, rehab, or home care settings
  • At least 1 year of certified home care experience
  • Registration with the MA Board of Registration in Occupational Therapy
  • American Heart Association certifications required
  • Experience with computer software and handheld patient care devices preferred
  • Ability to travel within assigned geographic region
