DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Institutional Parole Assistant, you will play a key part of the parole process at SCI Forest. This position provides clerical and technical support to the institutional parole office. Your responsibilities include ensuring inmates' release in accordance with relevant laws and policies and conducting interviews to determine their home plan needs. You will also be responsible for monitoring drug screening results and home plan investigations, as well as tracking any changes in inmate status, referrals to community correctional centers, crime victim compensation payments, and any incidents of misconduct or infractions. Additionally, your role will involve preparing important documents such as release orders, letters, and memos, along with compiling end-of-month status reports and running criminal histories for cases on the monthly docket.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
