SUMMARY

The Systems Engineer plans and builds the organizations systems end user device infrastructure including both hardware and software. Working under moderate supervision this position designs end user information systems that meet user needs and align with the overall IT architecture. The role is responsible for preparing lifecycle validation of systems and solutions to identify technical constraints and capabilities for the organizations requirements.

Designs Implements Manages and Support various End Point technologies for the organization and ITS Department. Some of the technologies are Microsoft End Point Manager (MEM) for Win Intel Devices imaging patching software deployment Mobile Device Management Print and Print Server Management. Team works with hardware vendors to select standards that fit into the environment. Desktop virtualization for Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop are within our scope. Provide Tier III End User support to Field Services and the organization. Procure manage and deploy cellular devices and pagers. The EUD teams mission is to design implement and deploy an outstanding end user experience for the items within scope of the team.

JOB DUTIES

• Plan and build the organizations end-user systems both hardware and software components to support business requirements.

• Design End User information systems that align with user needs and the overall IT architecture under moderate supervision.

• Prepare lifecycle validation of End User systems and solutions to identify technical constraints and assess system capabilities relative to organizational requirements.

• Monitor operational End User system performance to maximize the utilization of IT resources and ensure efficient functioning.

• Design end user facing system architecture that meets current and future business needs.

• Designs Implements Manages and Supports various technologies for the organization and ITS Department.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Hybrid Position (Greensboro NC) - Required to be within one hour of driving time from Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro NC

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager for Win Intel Devices imaging patching and software deployment.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with desktop virtualization for Windows 365 and/or Azure Virtual Desktop.

• At least 3 years hands on Microsoft Print Server Management experience.

• At least 3 years hands on providing Tier III support (detailed troubleshooting and resolving issues).

• At least 3 years hands on experience documenting and maintaining documentation of systems design configurations and operational procedures.

• Have experience collaborating with functional and operational staff and managers to understand information requirements and support the development of project plans cost estimates and schedules.

• Experience troubleshooting and resolving system issues as they arise.

• Experience keeping certification and/licensure required for position up-to-date with no expiration.

• Perform additional duties as reasonably required or assigned to support the organizations IT goals.

• Candidate must be available to work On Call off hours support on a rotational basis with the rest of the team.

• As a plus have hands on experience procuring managing and deploying cellular devices and pagers.

• As a plus have hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management WorkSpace One preferred.

EDUCATION

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems ora relatedfield and/or equivalent work experience.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• This is a Hybrid position with mostly in office work with flexibility for reason to work remote and remote on call support to work remote. As such for remote work the candidate must have:

• Reliable high-speed internet connection is required for all remote/hybrid positions.

• Access to stable Wi-Fi with sufficient bandwidth to support video conferencing cloud-based tools and other online work-related activities.

• A HIPAA-compliant work environment is required including a secure workspace free from unauthorized access or interruptions no use of public Wi-Fi unless connected through a secure company-provided VPN and compliance with all applicable HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
