compensation: starting pay $18-$20 HR depending on experience employment type: Full Time/Part Time

Hi, We are a level 4I Home with 4 residents in San Diego/Spring Valley/ Lemon Grove/Chula Vista. We support and serve people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We currently have a Full time and part time position available to work as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).

Looking for someone who will be a reliable and responsible member of our small team. Must be focused and able to implement structure and enforce rules. Someone with a positive attitude, friendly, and energetic personality with lots of patience since this is a behavioral home and we work with behaviors such as verbal aggression, attention seeking, and occasional noncompliance. Please be able to follow direction and complete requests from management with no problem.

As a member you will be responsible for the cleanliness and laundry needs of the facility. DSP will assure the care and supervision of residents in any emergency by utilizing appropriate emergency measures, such as calling 911, the police or fire department, or other emergency agencies. DSP’s will follow behavioral plans and make appropriate documentation, provide assistance and guidance with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene reminders and guidance, and assist in medication self-administration. DSP also will transport and accompany the individuals on outings in the community and to doctor’s appointments. These specific individuals need 24/7 supervision.

Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED • Must be minimum of 18 years of age • Valid driver’s license in good standing • clearance of background checks
