NEW Testing Lab Operations Manager Opening

Location : Northern California / Silicon Valley Area

We re seeking an experienced Testing Lab Operations Manager to lead a high-performing laboratory team in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role combines technical expertise, operational leadership, and team management to ensure high-quality testing, regulatory compliance, and efficient lab operations.

Key Responsibilities :

Manage daily lab operations across testing, product quality control, and operations support.

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, lab technicians, and supervisors.

Oversee lab workflows, equipment maintenance, quality control, and supply management.

Develop and implement SOPs, training programs, and competency assessments.

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and lab safety protocols.

Handle HR responsibilities including hiring, performance reviews, promotions, and terminations.

Manage departmental budget, financial planning, and process improvement initiatives.

Serve as a technical resource for lab instrumentation and troubleshooting.

Qualifications :

Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology, Life Science, or related field.

CLS license required

5 7 years of relevant clinical lab or blood center experience.

1 2 years of supervisory / management experience.

Strong knowledge of immunohematology, chemistry, virology, blood banking, and lab quality systems.

Proven leadership, analytical, and team-building skills.
