PDS Optical is a SDVOSB Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business that manufactures a very large number of eyeglasses each day. We have Optical Laboratories in Louisville, KY and Fort Lauderdale, FL and manage many optical stores across the US and Puerto Rico. At PDS Optical , we are committed to delivering exceptional eyewear and outstanding service to our Veterans. We're seeking an experienced optician to join our team as a Travel Optician out of the Washington, DC VA and help us uphold our mission of providing GREAT Veteran CARE!

The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated, experienced, and dependable individual with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with regular hours from 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, Monday through Friday with travel outside of these hours. The pay range for this position is $26.00-$28.00 per hour.

Position Details :

  • Pay Range : $26-$28 / hour

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to Veterans.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through exceptional service.
  • Work collaboratively to foster a positive and productive environment.
  • Comply with security clearance requirements by successfully passing a background check.
  • Travel to various locations as required without exception.
  • Must be able to travel on Sundays

    • Qualifications :

  • Must have your ABO Certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Skilled in fitting, adjusting, repairing, and selling eyewear.
  • Proficient in using lensometers, pupilometers, and computers.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
