This role oversees the engineering operations of a large Class A commercial property, ensuring all building systems, maintenance programs, and safety standards are executed with excellence. The position requires a hands‑on leader who can manage staff, guide contractors, oversee budgets, and maintain full compliance with all regulatory requirements. What You Will Do :
- Lead and supervise engineering staff, including scheduling, training, safety management, and daily operations for a large Class A commercial property.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs, building systems performance, capital projects, and compliance with Local, State, and Federal codes.
- Manage operational budgets, financial reporting, payroll oversight, contract negotiations, and vendor performance.
- Coordinate construction activities, review plans, maintain building documentation, and ensure accurate inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment.
- Support senior property management through tenant relations, owner reporting, and recommending technology or system upgrades.
Requirements :
High school diploma required; 5+ years managing Class A high‑rise properties (500,000+ sq ft) and 5+ years in a leadership role.Universal‑certified HVAC technician with hands‑on engineering knowledge and the ability to train others.Strong understanding of building codes, OSHA safety standards, mechanical systems, and problem‑solving through data analysis.Excellent communication, customer service, organization, and multitasking skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.Professional affiliations (BOMA, SMT / SMA) preferred; integrity, responsiveness, and teamwork essential.
