Essential Functions and Duties :

The position of Restaurant Manager is a leadership position responsible for the overall quality of guest experience, food and service, financial performance, and maintenance of the property and the team members within it.

Responsibilities include the following overall daily operations but are not limited to :

• Running day to day operations with up to 40 team members per shift
• Hire, train, retain, and develop Team Members to take on larger roles
• Handling guest and team member issues as they arise, with assistance as needed
• Work productively with the locations Managing Partner to exceed guest expectations, provide great service to our guests and our team members
• Mentor, train, and develop existing and new team members to enhance their knowledge, hospitality, administrative abilities, and operations skills to create enjoyable experiences for our guests
• Drive an increase in sales and profit in the restaurant while maintaining cost control
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.
• Understand and practice safe food handling procedures

Education and Experience :

• 2 years previous experience in a full-service restaurant (preferred)
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and / or experience considered

Requirements :

• Lead by example and be a role model for the standards and behaviors consistent with Kerbey Lane Cafe’s core values and culture
• Passion to develop stronger teams in a busy environment
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and a varied schedule
• Proficient in general computer knowledge and excel including a working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
• Maintain professionalism while taking care of guest issues
• Excellent interpersonal and guest / team member service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, high volume environment
