Security Officer Armed Patrol Shopping Center

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Shopping Center in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving post, where you will conduct routine patrols, interact with the public, and deliver exceptional customer service. Pay Rate : $26.50 / Hour

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, loss, and / or disturbances within the retail environment.
  • Document incidents, observations, and any unusual activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with store management and staff to address security-related concerns and maintain a welcoming environment for customers and employees.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies, alarms, and / or requests for assistance while on patrol.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree are required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III armed certification in Texas is required.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
