The Maternal Health Advocate (MHA) supports pregnant and post-partum patients and infants in the Adams County community who are at-risk for maternal / infant morbidity based on complex social, behavioral and health needs with consideration of all levels of healthcare disparity. The Maternal Health Advocate plays a crucial role in providing screening, guidance, and advocacy for patients’ perinatal and postpartum mental health needs, connecting patients with the appropriate services and programs, while helping to promote self-management of their social needs. The advocate will work with all members of the obstetrical inpatient and outpatient teams in helping patients achieve their goals. This role will include travel to patient homes and community resource locations.
Eligible for medical coverage on your 1st day of employment, all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date!
This is a temporary position funded by a grant, set to conclude on 9 / 30 / 2026. Candidates should be aware that this role may be eliminated after this date if the grant is not extended.
Requirements :
40 hours per week - First Shift
Monday - Friday
8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
Experience working with maternal / newborn and / or pregnant and postpartum populations preferred.
